He recalls the scent, the sound. The wind plays a song, menacingly clear in his head of the time when they, were once. Pavement rocks, sturdy. Seductive ticks of her vocal chords, delicately beautify his calamities. She, and her five o'clock shadow. Faintly presence walking hand in hand with eyes, ashamed of past mishaps. Pulse after pulse, the seconds witness her movements in such orderly manners, taking in breaths like a wounded soul, letting it out as if wanting it to be the last. Cigarette fume circulates. He glanced at what he once craved. Once. Repetitive thoughts bounce across the walls of his mind as he tries his best to let it all go astray. The reds and the greens leaves him confused. Shades of her hair color leaves him defenseless. A weakness, even for he, the one so strong, can't escape. Solace awaits. He knows, what's playing in her head. Not the song that she's singing, not the calculations of her next action. The movement of her lips carves him a sly smile. There will never be another man like you. He knows, such ludicrous act for a man to pass up another moment that one's needed for too long a time.
P/s : Counting down for New Year's Eve party. Merry faces of beloveds, good food, enthused!
